We need your help to put a stop to the suffering of dogs and cats in Guatemala!
Apart from occasional help from the SPCAI (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals – International) and donations of food from Nestlé Guatemala, AWARE receives no support from any governmental or other institutional organization whatsoever. All funding for every single aspect of the entire ongoing operation comes from you – which is to say, from concerned, kind and generous individuals.
We need both financial and in-kind donations. We always need metal food bowls, flea treatments for cats and dogs, towels, blankets, building materials new or used, medical instruments, veterinary equipment. A fully-functional, reliable truck for transporting animals and materials would be great, also! Here, though, is the real dream: a Humane Education centre.
Meanwhile, a little money can go a long way.
For example:
- US$200.00 makes a pen for 4 dogs, or spays 5 (female) animals.
- US$50 pays the salary of one dog walker for a week.
- US$30 provides 10 multiple vaccinations.
- US$10 feeds a cat for a week.
Your donation to our cause is vital and much-appreciated. We can not ignore the fact that we would not be able to continue helping the animals of Guatemala without the help of Donors.
