AWARE’s Philosophy:

“Until he extends the circle of his compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace.” These words of the great Albert Schweitzer, Alsatian physician and philanthropist, are the basis of our philosophy.

We believe that caring for animals is not only important for the animals, but also for humans. Man must ensure the welfare and development of all animals, and only with the fulfillment of these and other responsibilities does Man have the opportunity to become truly human and begin to make life on Earth truly sustainable.

If a child can learn to love and care for an animal, then the human race is one step closer to achieving what Albert Schweitzer referred to as peace.
