We have an average of 250 dogs available for adoption, all of whom have been cured of whatever they were suffering from when they arrived, are socialised with other dogs and humans, are up-to-date with their shots, and have been spayed or neutered. There are a hundred reasons for adopting a rescue dog and if you’ve got this far you probably know them all.
One day we will have a gallery of all available dogs on display on this page, complete with photo, name, and all relevant information. We are not there yet! It’s a massive project, and if you can help, or know someone who could help, please get in touch.
In the meantime, click here to visit and browse the Star of the Week page, where you’ll get an idea of the variety and appealingness of the AWARE residents. There is also an excellent gallery of adoptable AWARE dogs and cats on Facebook at AwareAdopciones.
If you are interested in giving a dog a good, loving home, would like to adopt from AWARE, and are in Guatemala – come and visit (map and directions here)! The dogs would love to see you. Otherwise just drop us an e-mail requesting information to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each dog needs a new life and you can help!
Here’s a selection of pictures only of residents past and present- a right bunch of characters! You’ll see that people rarely abandon pure breed dogs in Guatemala.
